Abstract :
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a technology that can provide
personalized feedback and interactive practice sessions. This research aims to find
out whether Sivi, an AI-based application, can have a significant effect on the
speaking skills of the eleventh-grade students at SMK Teknologi Pilar Bangsa. This
research is quasi-experimental research. The subject population in this study were
the entire eleventh grade of SMK Teknologi Pilar Bangsa which amounted to 241
students. This study used random sampling technique by took the samples from
class XI OTKP 1 as an experimental class and XI OTKP 2 as a controlled class.
Data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test instruments. Based on
hypothesis testing using the Mann Whitney test, the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value is
0.027 with a siginification level of 0.05 H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be
interpreted that there is a significant effect on the speaking ability of students who
use the Sivi application. Therefore, Sivi can be one of the alternative media in
supporting students' speaking learning.
