Abstract :
Konto River is one of the rivers in Jombang Regency which often causes flooding, especially in Mojowarno District, one of which is in the village of Mlaten. Data from the Department of Public Works and Water Resources, Jombang Regency, in 2019 floods covered three villages in Mojowarno District, namely Mojokembang Village, Mlaten Village and Catak Gayam Village with a maximum height. up to 0.5-1.00 m and six villages in Mojoagung District with a height of almost 2.00-2.50 m. One of the causes of flooding in the Konto watershed area is the inability of the river profile to accommodate the existing discharge (overflow). The problem of the Konto river is due to sedimentation and narrowing of the river due to damaged levees/dykes. become one of the problems that occur in the Konto River in the village of Mlaten. The effect of sedimentation and damage to the embankment/river embankment will have an impact on the people whose houses are on the banks of the Konto river so that every year in the village of Mlaten it often becomes a flood subscription. Meanwhile, the data or information used is primary and secondary data obtained from the Regency Public Works and Water Resources Office. Jombang and primary data obtained from direct surveys in the field. The data processing method uses manual calculations in accordance with the rational method for calculating rain discharge. From the results of the survey, analyzing the location of the Mlaten Village, it is necessary to design a cross-sectional channel for the new Konto Mlaten river to cope with flooding in the village.
