Abstract :
This study aims to determine the relationship between feelings of empathy with prosocial behavior in elementary school age children. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between feelings of empathy and prosocial behavior. This study uses quantitative methods. Respondents in this study were 50 children aged 10-12 years at SDN 02 Megaluh Jombang. The research instrument used in this study was the empathy feeling scale and the prosocial behavior scale. The data analysis technique used the Pearson correlation test. This study resulted in a correlation coefficient value of r = -0.078 and a significance value of p = 0.295? 0.05. The results of data analysis showed that there was no relationship between the variables of feeling empathy and prosocial behavior. So the hypothesis is rejected.
