ABSTRACT Farliyanti Guamo. 2013. The Correlation between Family Knowledge and Diarrhea on Infants at Global Mongolato Puskesmas, Gorontalo District. Skripsi. Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences. Nursing Study Program, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. It was supervised by Rini Fahriani Zees as the principal supervisor and Vivien Novarina A Kasim as the co supervisor. Diarrhea is the abnormal defecation in terms of volume increase, aqueous defecation, and more than 3 times of defecation frequency. One of diarrhea causal factors is lack of the knowledge. This research aimed to see the correlation between family knowledge and diarrhea on infants at Global Mongolato Puskesmas, Gorontalo regency. This research applied an analytical survey and cross sectional design. The populations were all diarrhea patients treated in Global Mongolato Puskesmas within April 1st – June 6th 2013 they were 40 infants. The samples were selected through total sampling technique. The data then were collected through chi square statistical test. The research results showed that there were 19 (47,5%) samples had lack of knowledge about the diarrhea; and, there were 26 (65%) samples experienced critical diarrhea. The statistical test results showed, also, p = 0,002 (
