The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant negative influence on the
community, especially in the economic area that may have an impact on their
welfare. In this case, the government has given considerable thought to measures
to prevent the spread and the diseased victims, however efforts to protect the
welfare of the population are of utmost importance. especially with the
community's Covid-19 Social Assistance program.
Meanwhile, the social assistance channeling party, in this case the Village
Government, is still experiencing a number of issues that have an impact on the
level of services provided in the Covid-19 Social Assistance program both
internally and externally. Problems arise as a result of reductions in the village
budget allocated for Covid-19 Social Assistance, the authorities having trouble
gathering information on those who are eligible, and inaccurate data recording,
which occasionally results in individuals being recorded as receiving more than
one type of Social Assistance. Social aid that contains conflicting information is
even reduced on, and so forth.
The organizational element, the HR aspect, or the effectiveness of the
apparatus are just a few factors that have an impact on the quality of this service.
The state of their job motivation while performing their tasks during this
pandemic is one of the factors that affect the performance of the apparatus. By
referring to Herzerg's theory which mentions two dimensions that influence
motivational variables, namely intrinsic and extrinsic factors, and Parasuraman's
theory which states five dimensions to measure service quality assessment.
Namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy.
Therefore, This study was conducted to determine how the motivational
apparatus functions, the quality of service, and the extent to which employee
motivation can affect the quality of service in the Covid-19 Social Assistance
program. The locus or subject of this study are five Ciawi District villages:
Cileungsi Village, Citapen Village, Banjarsari Village, Telukpinang Village, and
Ciawi Village.
Furthermore, this study takes a quantitative approach and utilizes the
associative/influence method, which is a technique for figuring out how two or
more variables are related to one another. Technical analysis of the data used is
the Weigh Mean Score (WMS) to answer the formulation of problems one and
two, as well as the Rank Spearman hypothesis test, to answer the formulation of
the third problem.
The results of the recapitulation of the work motivation variable receive a
value of 4.25 or enter the very good category, whilst the results of the
recapitulation of the service quality variable receive a value of 4.15 or enter the
good criteria. The findings of the associative test utilizing the perspective of the
Village equipment based on the Spearman Rank test calculation yield a value of
0.230, which indicates that there is a relationship between the work motivation
variable (x) and service quality, but it is weak. With a significance value of 0.065
or greater than 0.05, which shows that there is no significant association, but the
direction is positive. Therefore, if the value of staff motivation increases, so will
the value of service quality.
In the meantime, according to the calculation of the coefficient of
determination after calculating the value of the correlation coefficient, the value of
1 square is 0.0529, which indicates that the work motivation of the apparatus
contributes or influences the quality of service by 5.29 percent, while the
remaining 94.71 percent is affected by other factors
