Abstract :
This research focuses on fashion globalization of Korean popular girl band Girls? Generation such as clothing style, hair color and style, and shoe style in Indonesia. The writer collected the data by watching the music video of Girls? Generation entitled Gee and the music video of Indonesian popular girl band, Cherrybelle entitled Dilema. After that, the writer compared Girls? Generation fashion style in Gee music video with those of Cherrybelle in Dilema music video. The result shows that Cherrybelle is one of Indonesian popular girl bands who is influenced by Girls? Generation fashion style. Both girl bands have adopted the global fashion from the Western countries. This becomes the reason why the thesis makes use of the theory of fashion globalization from Scriven.
