Abstract :
HIV/Aids is a health issue that is sensitive to be talked. This relates to the unique nature from the disease. In addition the case it’s like iceberg phenomenon, stigma and discrimination are also experienced by the sufferer and their family. Besides that, the number of aids cases always increase every years. Although the number of Aids case is reported in this group of children is still low compared with adults but children are very susceptible to contracting aids. The purpose of this research is to know and describe about: 1. Implementation of regularly rules which ensure the protection of the rights of children with aids diseasein Semarang city. 2. Fulfillment the rights of children with aids diseasein Semarang city. 3. Obstacle and supporting that is gave to fulfilment the rights of children with aids disease in Semarang city. Research method that is used in this research is sociological juridic, which can discuss juridical and social aspect which cover certain legal phenomena.Based on the problems taken, the specification of the research used is descriptive analytical. While in the method of data collection is using interview technique. Beside the respondents in this study are consisted of four children who suffer from HIV/AIDS and / or the guardians. From the results of the study is known that the relevant regulations in the effort to protect the rights of children already exist and has been implemented by the government of Semarang City. But indeed the regulation only regulates the protection of children’s right in generally and there is no specific guarantee program provided to children living with HIV/AIDS. Then the fulfilment of the rights of the child itself has been fulfilled but it is not enough maximum. The inhibiting factor itself is the minimal budget for HIV/AIDS prevention program that have not been able to reach all areas of Semarang city Key word: Protection, Child, HIV/AIDS, Child with HIV/AIDS
