Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the daily living skills (DLS) of ASD children and see the factors that influence KHS. There are internal factors (child characteristics) and external factors (parental characteristics and support from the environment). This study uses a case study approach. Subject in this research was 3 children with ASD, age range 9-12 years. The data were collected by interview, observation and psychology test (VABS, WISC, and CARS). Data were analyzed by data organization steps, coding, interpretation and summarizing research findings. The results showed that children with ASD had a delay on DLS task. Internal factors do not directly affect the rising DLS of the subject but need to be mediated by external factors. This is due to the increasing age, more complex DLS tasks to be learned and incremental IQ increases. External factors that affect in this research are related to parenting such as giving opportunity to try DLS task, consistency, firmness, way of teaching and instruction, and giving compliment. It is important take attention to external and internal factors for increase DLS maximally. Having a good DLS makes children more confident and independent. Keywords: daily living skills (DLS), ASD, internal factors, external factors.
