University of PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Advisors 1: Dyah Rochmawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. Advisors 2: Dra. Joesasono Oedarti S., M.Pd. Keywords: Green Lantern movie (2011), Greimas? structural narrative. The objectives of this research are twofold. First to describe the character of Hal Jordan in the film Green Lantern as an acting model, and the second describes the transformation from zero to hero in the film Green Lantern seen from the scheme of functional models. This movie very interesting because tells about a hero who has a fear of fighting enemies. This study used a qualitative approach. The object of analysis is the narrative of the story or narrative structure. The focus of this research is on the main character in Green Lantern movie (2011). The data formed of direct dialogue, and screenshot especially to the main characters, that related to previous issues and indirect conversation (narrative). The results of the study show that the cast is easily known using the actantial model scheme Then using the functional model scheme, it is known that the storyline of each sequence of films starts from the main character who does not have a problem, then raises anxiety so the enemy comes to defeat the main character, so the main character can control himself so he can defeat the enemy and get objects. So, through the scheme of functional models films can be easily analyzed. It can be concluded that the use of structural narrative theory Greimas' helps anyone logically follow the process, flow, and events of a story. Therefore, Greimas' structural narrative is actually important to consider in analyzing literature.
