Abstract :
One of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the center of today's health issues is to ensure healthy lives and improve the welfare of people at all ages. One of the main priorities of the SDGs by 2030 is to reduce neonatal and under-five mortality rates, with a target of neonatal infant mortality to be less than 12 per 1,000 live births and under-five mortality with a target of 25 per 1,000 live births. Infant mortality rate (IMR) is defined as the number of infant deaths within one year in infants under the age of 1 year, which is used as an important indicator in determining the level of public health, because this is one form of assessment of the good and bad economic, health, social and environmental conditions of a country. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of East Nusa Tenggara Province (BPS NTT). The data analysis technique was carried out using the Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) method, to determine the distribution pattern of factors affecting infant mortality rates in East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2021 locally and globally. The best model formed based on the best model selection criteria using the AIC and R2 values is the GWR model with adaptive tricube weighting functions with an AIC value of 178.2781 and an R2 value of 83.94%. Keywords: Infant mortality rate, Geographically Weighted Regression, Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression, Akaike Info Criterion.
