Abstract :
Penggunaan penjadwalan yang sederhana yaitu hanya menunggu file order datang kemudian dilakukan proses produksi. Dengan penggunakan metode penjadwalan yang seperti itu membuat proses produksi dan proses pengiriman tidak terjadwal dengan baik. Dengan penerapan metode yang seperti itu membuat perusahaan kesulitan ketika banyaknya permintaan yang datang serta dengan output produk yang bermacam-macam. Dengan menggunakan metode Least Cost mampu menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di perusahaan kertas yang semula menjadi masalah pembengkakan biaya transportasi dengan melakukan optimasi penjadwalan dapat mengurangi biaya transportasi sehingga perusahaan mendapat keuntungan lebih. Sebelum dilakukan optimal penjadwalan biaya transportasi PT XYZ sebesar Rp. 9.000.000 dengan dilakukan optimasi penjadwalan menggunakan metode Least Cost perusahaan mengalami penurunan biaya transportasi pada bulan September sebesar Rp. 7.132.500, bulan Oktober sebesar Rp. 7.996.000, bulan November sebesar Rp. 7.204.000 dan bulan Desember sebesar 7.921.000 The use of simple scheduling is just waiting for the order file to arrive then the production process is carried out. By using such a scheduling method, the production process and delivery process are not properly scheduled. With the application of such a method, it makes it difficult for the company when there are many requests that come along with a variety of product outputs. Using the Least Cost method is able to solve existing problems in paper companies which were originally a problem of increasing transportation costs by optimizing scheduling can reduce transportation costs so that the company gets more profits. Prior to the optimal scheduling of PT XYZ's transportation costs of Rp. 9,000,000 by optimizing scheduling using the Least Cost method, the company experienced a decrease in transportation costs in September by Rp. 7,132,500, in October of Rp. 7,996,000, in November of Rp. 7,204,000 and December 7,921,000
