Abstract :
This research is motivated because of the needs of humans as social beings who have the desire to survive, other people are needed so that human needs and relationships can be well intertwined, interaction in the form of communication is needed. Communication that is most widely used is communication using verbal as a tool to communicate or words to express the desires and feelings of a person. So that the feelings or desires of a person can be achieved, the communication used is talking. Talking is an activity of uttering sounds or words that have meaning or meaning so that they are easily understood by other people or the interlocutor. However, in practice there are still many people who have not been able to convey, express their feelings and desires in form or words as a means of communication. Many factors contributed to this problem. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. Research subjects were fourth grade students, SDN Margorejo 1/403 Surabaya with three student subjects. The data collection method used was observation and test using the test site assessment tools and documentation. using descriptive qualitative methods to describe student behavior while learning and using quantitative descriptive to determine the value of students on their speaking skills. Based on the results of research conducted, entitled the analysis of speaking skills of class IV C SDN Margorejo 1/403 Surabaya, it can be concluded by the researcher that the results regarding the speaking skills of subject 3 students obtained scores from the storytelling test, so it can be shown and proven in the attachment of speaking skills results.
