ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF BORAX ON WELDING OF L-SERIES COPPER PIPE USING OXY ACETYLENE WELDING ON IMPACT STRENGT The strength of the welded connection is very influential on the quality of the welded joint and the requirements of a standard construction, especially the construction in the oil and gas industry such as piping. This study aims to determine the strength of the impact testing of borax and non-borax on BRASCO copper pipe welding joints 3/4 inch x 1.07mm ASTM B819 Type-L Medical by using the oxy-acetylene welding process and using a neutral flame. The borax used is silver brazing flux and the filler used is Harris 0 Silver Brazing and the welding position used is 1G.
