Abstract :
This study aims to determine the ability of digital literacy and critical thinking skills of class XI MAN 21 Jakarta North and analyze the effect of digital literacy on students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education learning. The problem of this research is that the students' critical thinking skills are still low in class XI MAN 21 Jakarta North, the indications are that students have difficulty in formulating problems, are embarrassed to ask questions and are embarrassed to give arguments or express different points of view in online Islamic Religious Education learning. This research is a verification research, namely research that aims to determine the causal relationship between variables through testing using statistical calculations, the results of evidence show that the hypothesis is rejected or accepted. The research sample was 62 students of class XI MAN 21 Jakarta North. Data collection through the distribution of questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis which included: coefficient of determination, F test, and t test. The results showed that the digital literacy skills of the XI MAN 21 Jakarta North students were good (total score = 3,265 with the respondent's approval index = 75.23%) and the critical thinking skills of the XI MAN 21 Jakarta North students were good (total score = 3,098 with index respondent's approval = 76,87%). The results of statistical testing showed that students' digital literacy skills had a significant positive effect on students' critical thinking skills (? = 0.720 and t-count = 7.712 with sig. = 0.000). Digital literacy ability contributes 49.80% to students' critical thinking skills (R square = 0.498). The results of this study can be concluded that students' digital literacy skills have a significant positive effect on critical thinking skills of students in class XI MAN 21 Jakarta North. The better the students' digital literacy skills, the students' critical thinking skills will increase. Therefore, it is recommended that Islamic Religious Education teachers improve students' digital literacy skills by adding digital literacy reading materials, using educational applications as a source of student learning, providing educational sites as a source of student learning, as well as making school and classroom bulletins.
