The high population of vehicles and not balanced with the availability of adequate road infrastructure at the unsignalized intersection of Kalimalang Inspection Road and Industrial Estate Road with the location of the intersection leading to the MM2100 industrial area resulted in unsignalized intersections experiencing congestion up to hundreds of meters which affected the performance of the intersection which resulted in poor service to the public. road users.
To find out the operational conditions of the intersection and get accurate data, a direct survey was conducted. The surveys conducted included a traffic volume survey, a geometric intersection survey and a traffic signal timing survey. The survey was conducted during peak hours in the morning, afternoon and evening for 2 days covering weekdays and holidays. The survey data obtained were then analyzed using the KAJI software.
The results of the analysis of the performance of the unsignalized intersection for the service level of the unsignalized intersection at the ?F? (very bad) level. After being converted into a signalized intersection, namely the installation of a Traffic Signaling Device (APILL), the level of service at the signalized intersection is obtained at level "C", with these results it can be concluded that the Kalimalang Inspection Road and Industrial Estate Roads can serve traffic at the intersection for the better. .
