Abstract :
Humans have important resources that can be utilized (Pri & Zamralita, 2018). These human resources can be in the form of performance in life which is expected to produce productivity for themselves and the company's organization (Pri & Zamralita, 2018). According to Lockwood (in Shabrina & Ratnaningsih 2019) employee work engagement is the state of a person who is able to commit to the organization both emotionally and intellectually.
This study aims to find out how the effect of gratitude and work life balance on work engagement on employees at UPST DKI Jakarta. This study uses quantitative methods with a research design included in correlational research. In determining the number of samples using the Slovin formula with a sample of 92 respondents selected by non-probability sampling. In preparing the questionnaire using a Likert scale and rating scale. Test data analysis using Rank Spearman.
Based on the description of the research subjects, there are characteristics, seen from gender, age, length of work, employment status and latest education. The results show that Gratitude has a value (sig.=0.819, p<0.05) and Work Life Balance has a value (sig. .=0.000 p<0.05) and Sig. F of 0.000b where from that value that Gratitude has no effect on Work Engagement, on the Work Life Balance variable it has an effect on Work Engagement.
