Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship and influence of academic stress and optimism on academic resilience. This research is a quantitative research with correlational type involving 91 final year students at Universitas Islam ?45? Bekasi. The sampling technique used a non-probability sample technique with a proportionate strafied random sampling technique. The scale instrument used is the Academic Resilience Scale-30 (ARS-30), Student Life Stress Inventory (SLSI), and the optimism scale using a Likert scale model. The reliability test of the psychological measurement scale using the Alpha Chronbach formula resulted in a value of r = 0.891 for academic resilience, r = 0.943 for academic stress and 0.895 for optimism.
This study tested the hypothesis by using a correlation test and multiple linear regression by showing the results of r = 0.232 p = 0.027 (p <0.05) which stated that the stress variable on academic resilience had a significant positive relationship, while for the optimism variable on resilience. academic results obtained r = 0.260 p = 0.013 (p <0.05) which indicates that it has a significant positive relationship. For the multiple regression test between academic stress and optimism on academic resilience, the value of F=7.062, p=0.01 (p<0.05) means that there is an influence between academic stress and optimism on academic resilience.
