Abstract :
ABSTRACT The research was conducted to describe the relationship between job demands, work involvement and work engagement at PT. Padma Soode Indonesia, is one of the companies engaged in Precision metal stamping, precision plastic injection and part assembly activities into sub-assembly/final assembly. This is based on the fact that the company's goals will not be achieved and many companies are still willing to spend a lot of money to buy the technology they want to help achieve their business goals. Technology is useless if the company doesn't have the people to do it. Work engagement is very important for a company to continue to develop and manage its employees to maintain high performance to achieve company goals. Job Demands and Job Involvement are factors that can lead to Work Engagement in Employees. The instrument for measuring job demands uses a self-made Job Demands scale referring to the dimensions and indicators of Job demands proposed by the theory. According to Bakker et al. listed in the journal (Islami & Eva, 2021) for the instrument for measuring work engagement using The self-made Job Involvement scale refers to the dimensions and indicators of Job Involvement proposed by the theory According to Saleh & Hosek listed in the journal (Arumsari, 2018), then for Job Engagement using a modified scale based on the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) measuring instrument. on the theory of Schaufeli and Bakker (Widiana et al., 2020) The participants of this study amounted to 84 employees of Machining PT. Padma Soode Indonesia. Through the Spearman Rank analysis technique, it is known that there is a significant positive relationship between work demands and work engagement (r = 0.510, n = 84, = 0.000, two tailed), there is a significant positive relationship between work engagement and work engagement (r = 0.477, n = 84, = 0.000, two tailed), and through the analysis technique of Multiple Linear Regression, it was found that work demands with work involvement were able to contribute to work engagement (Sig. F = 0.000b, R Square = 0.439). Keywords: Job demands, Job involvement, work engagement
