Abstract :
With the emergence of vehicles that use automatic transmission systems or better known as CVT (Continously Variable Transmission) this transmission system uses driven pulleys and belts for the power distribution process. But this system has a weakness at the time of acceleration . This study aims to determine the effect of the CVT spring constant on torque and power of a 125cc motorcycle. This type of research is an experiment, the object of research is a 2014 Honda Vario 125cc motorcycle and Pertamax fuel. This study uses a testing method changed rpm at full load (full open throttle valve). By varying the cvt springs (4.63 N/mm) (3.77 N/mm), and (2.76 N/mm) the results showed that spring 1 (4.63 N/mm), spring 2 (3.77 N / mm), and spring 3 (2.76 N / mm) respectively produce a maximum torque of 9.21 Nm at 5500 rpm, 9.65 Nm and 9.70 Nm at 6000 rpm. The maximum power produced is 8.15 HP, 9.02 HP, and 9.12 HP, respectively, at 7000 rpm. Keywords: CVT,cvt spring, torque and power
