Abstract :
This Scientific Writing (KTI) is entitled "Cooperative Model Numbered Heads Together
(NHT) as a Solution to Improve Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students
on Natural and Socio-Cultural Appearance Materials". Social Studies is a subject that can provide
opportunities for students to think systematically about social society that is useful for students'
lives in the future. The level of achievement of the social studies learning objectives can be seen
from the social studies learning outcomes. Social studies learning outcomes are one of the
indicators of learning through 3 aspects so that it can measure the level of learning success in
students.
Based on the results of the study of several journals, problems were found in elementary school
students in learning outcomes for social studies subjects. This can be seen in the journal that
problems such as learning are still conventional so that they are less able to attract students'
attention and motivation in learning, when the teacher's learning process does not optimize
students' understanding of the learning material, the teacher only focuses on one active student and
the others are left to talk to their friends. others without listening to the teacher's explanation, the
teacher has not maximally developed the learning model, student interaction is still low in asking
questions to the teacher, and the lack of use of learning media that is in accordance with social
studies learning materials.
Predictions using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model, because this model
is believed to be able to improve cognitive abilities, namely: (C1) Knowledge, students are
expected to be able to mention the meaning of natural and socio-cultural appearances. (C2)
Understanding, students can recognize various natural and socio-cultural appearances. (C3)
Application, students can solve problems on the problem correctly. (C4) Analyzing, students can
conclude the results of their findings in solving problems correctly. (C5) Evaluation, students can
prove the answer correctly. (C6) Creating, students can make various natural features that they
find themselves when working on problems. In the affective domain, students can take social studies
lessons well and students can express their opinions while studying. Furthermore, in the
psychomotor domain, students can give examples of natural and socio-cultural appearances
appropriately, so that students can exchange information with their group friends.
In this case, the authors conclude that after learning using the Numbered Heads Together
(NHT) model, students are able to improve student social interactions, can encourage students to
participate actively, can improve student appearance and learning outcomes, and the results make
this model more effective when used in natural and socio-cultural features and improve learning
outcomes.
