Abstract :
This thesis discussed the challenges and strategies of pre-service English teachers during their teaching practice program. This study uses qualitative methods by interviewing seven undergraduate students to explore their experiences of the teaching practice program. The results showed that the participants encountered various challenges, including limited teaching experience, low student ability, classroom management, students' low motivation, and giving grades to students. They implemented strategies to overcome the challenges, such as the use of appropriate teaching methods, creating fun learning by using engaging teaching media, games and rewards, maximizing teaching preparation, and giving additional assignments to students who lack of grades. This research offers insight into the experiences of pre-service English teachers during teaching practice programs, especially on the challenges and strategies implemented by pre-service English teachers.
