Abstract :
This research aims to determine the effect of the comparison between hibiscus leaf adhesive and palm oil empty bunch charcoal powder on the quality of biobriquettes and to determine the exact comparison between hibiscus leaf adhesive and palm oil empty bunch charcoal powder on the quality of biobriquettes. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments (20% : 80%, 25% : 75%, 30% : 70%, 35% : 65%, 40% : 60%) and 4 replications to obtain 20 units. test. The results of this study show that the effect of the ratio of hibiscus leaf adhesive to empty palm fruit bunch charcoal powder on the quality of biobriquettes has a very significant effect on the ash content and a significant effect on the density of the biobriquettes but has no significant effect on the calorific value, water content, combustion rate and volatile matter content of the biobriquettes. . The best comparative treatment in making biobriquettes is treatment 4 with a ratio of 35% hibiscus leaf adhesive and 65% empty palm fruit bunch charcoal powder which produces a calorific value of 4926 cal/g, a water content value of 6.5%, an ash content value of 13.46 %, combustion rate value 0.2513 g/minute, density value 0.32 g/cm3, volatile matter content value 4.11%.
