Abstract :
The purposes of this research are to describe the students? attitude in learning English as a foreign language and the students? attitude in learning English as a foreign language. In collecting the data, the researcher used demographic questionnaire and interview protocol. The participants of this research are six students of one Pondok Pesantren in Jambi. The finding showed that students attitude in learning English as a foreign language are for a better life in the future where they wish they can get a nice work. Whereas, for the attitudes, the students will do the positive attitude toward the English learning such as do the homework from teacher, try to find some ways to solve their difficulties or weakness.
