Abstract :
The objective of this research was to find the common errors that students made on their written responses posted in Canvas and the strategy used by students to correct their errors. The subject of this research were students of guided writing class in English Education Program, there were 20 students. The writer used Dulay?s surface strategy taxonomy to categorize the errors. The data were collected through qualitative method which used data analysis and interview as the instruments. The findings showed that the highest percentage of errors was from the category of omission errors. Then for the strategy used by students to correct
their errors in Canvas is through self-correction and given feedback from their peers and lecturer. It is suggested for students to be more aware of their responses posted
in the discussion.
