Abstract :
Vocabulary is the most important thing in learning a language. Without vocabulary, a person cannot write, read, and speak a language. So, it is important to choose the right learning method to be able reach the standard number of vocabulary from the learner. This study aims to prove that the card sort is a media that has a contribution to improving vocabulary mastery of people who are learning a language. Furthermore, this research is also intended to find the extent of the effect of card sort to add vocabulary. To conduct this research, researchers conducted research using Classroom Action Research to make teaching and learning activities more active. There are 2 cycles and each meeting consists of 3 meeting in each cycle. The number of vocabularies given is 60 words..
