Abstract :
This term paper discusses about the fulfillment process of the needs of Winnie character from the novel The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy using Hierarchy of Needs theories from Abraham H. Maslow. More specifically, the studies analyses the fulfillment process of the needs of Winnie who lives as a mother in circle of modern motherhood in america. The theory that used in this research is Abraham H. Maslow Hierarchy of Needs. The theory that categorized of human needs into five stages or level of needs to satisfy. Five level of human needs such as physiological, safety, social, esteem and self-actualization are used in this research. Furthermore, this study is a qualitative range of research; type of psychology of literature that analyses using method of data collection in the form of novel entitled The Perfect Mother as a primary source and supported by a number of aspects related to the theory, concept, and supported by some literature that is connected with suitable definition or theory as the secondary source.
