Abstract :
This term paper discusses about the issue of a husband and wife, Daisy and Simon have struggled for years to have children. After many consultations and medical procedures, finally Daisy became pregnant and little Millie was born. Their life is complete. But when time passed, Simon wanted one more child. Daisy is enough with Millie but Simon wants a bigger family, siblings for Millie. Daisy felt disapproving because during the early years of trying to have children and she was not ready to face her feelings again. Daisy wants to continue their lives, only the three of them. The problem is that Simon is an alcoholic, behind that he has a big secret that he doesn't tell his wife, Simon is infertile. Daisy also has a dark period which she kept a secret too, occurred at the party. The theme of domestic violence, especially physical and emotional violence, is included in the novel. Sexual harassment, including references to rape, is also included.
