Abstract :
This study aims to explain the types of illocutionary acts and the function found in the
utterances of the main character, Natasha, in the ?Black Widow? movie script. The approach used
in this research is a qualitative with a qualitative descriptive method to describe and analyze the
data. The object of this research is the movie script for ?Black Widow?. The data used in this
research are the utterances spoken by the main character, namely Natasha. The data collection
technique used in this study is a documentation technique with movie transcript as a source of
research data. The technique used in analyzing the data are; 1) identify the data, 2) classify the data,
3) describe and analyze the data, 4) make the conclusion. The result of this study are as follows:
there are forty-four data used, sixteen data are classified as the representative, eighteen data are
classified as the directive, four data are classified as the commissive, five data are classified as the
expressive, and one data is classified as the declarative. Natasha uses representative and directive of
illocutionary acts because Natasha as the main character has a many misunderstanding with her
family, so she makes an explanation to her family and she is a superhero who is a fugitive and trying
to save her friends and she makes plans with her family to destroy the redroom.
