Abstract :
This study is aimed to find out the translation strategies found in the movie script of ?Uncharted (2022)? and classify them into ten translation strategies. The source language is English, and the target language is Indonesian language. The research uses qualitative method because collecting the data is conducted with making a generalization. The results of this research show that the number of the subtitling strategies found in ?Uncharted (2022)? movie script are 156 data. The results show that there are 56 data of paraphrase strategy, 59 data of transfer strategy, 15 data of imitation strategy, 11 data of deletion strategy, 9 data of condensation strategy, 1 data of decimation strategy, 4 data of expansion strategy, and 2 data of transcription strategy. Transfer strategy is the dominant strategy used by the translator. There are many subtitles that is literally translated accurately by the translator. And the strategy that is not used by the translator is dislocation strategy. This strategy is used to translate a song that is showing in the movie, in this script, there is no song that appears, so the strategy is not used. Resignation strategy is not used by translator because this strategy refers to the strategy adopted when no translation can be found.
