Abstract :
This study uses both intrinsic and extrinsic methods to assess how feminism is represented in the main character of Little Women. Characterization, story, and setting comprise the intrinsic technique adopted. Despite using the idea of feminism, the extrinsic method takes a qualitative approach to obtaining data. The Greta Gerwig-written Little Women movie script is the subject of this study. The study's findings may be summarized as follows: the elaboration between liberal feminism and characterization, the elaboration between liberal feminism and plot, and the elaboration between liberal feminism and setting. This movie script is about Josephine March (Jo), who dreams to be a famous writer and desires to change the tradition that has prevented women from achieving their goals. She wants to break the stereotype that women must marry early and seek wealthy husbands, because women may achieve their own goals.
