Abstract :
The Bad Boys for Life (2020) movie script written by Peter Craig and David Guggenheim, tells the
story of two police detectives in Miami named Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. One day while
they were doing their job, they killed a man who was the brother of Aleksander Luga. Aleksander
Luga is a criminal from Albania, Luga and his family running an illegal business so they are wanted
by the police. This study aims to analyze the internal conflict that causes the existence of the death
instinct of the main characters in the movie script Bad Boys for Life (2020) using intrinsic and
extrinsic approaches. The intrinsic approach used are characterization, plot, and setting. The
extrinsic approach uses the concepts of internal conflict and death instinct. This research uses a
qualitative approach in revealing data in the form of scene and dialogue in the movie script of Bad
Boys for Life (2020).
