dialogue and narration contained in "A Man Called Otto" movie script, (3) Select and collect data
that is appropriate for my research. Based on Sigmund Freud's theory and other theories, the results
of this research show that the main character Otto has psychological distress such as feeling
frustration and depression after the death of his wife Sonya, as well as his tragic past. Then, on the
death instinct, Otto's character takes aggressive actions and self-destruction when he feels angry and
sad when the environment around him makes him uncomfortable.
