Abstract :
This research aims to discuss and analyze the fulfilled needs of the characters using Abraham
Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory in the movie script Last Night in Soho (2021) as an object. This
research uses descriptive qualitative methods supported by primary and secondary data. The primary
data is taken from the Last Night in Soho (2021) movie script. Secondary data is taken from several
sources, such as books, articles, journals, and internet websites. Data collection is done by reading
the film script, identifying data, classifying data, explaining data, and drawing conclusions after the
data is analyzed. From the analysis, it can be concluded that Eloise's character in the film script "Last
Night in Soho" experiences a journey to fulfill Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The fulfillment of
physiological needs is illustrated through actions such as finding a place, clothes, drinks, and sleep.
Furthermore, the needs for safety is shown through her efforts to find a safe place to live and her
interaction with another character, John. Eloise also views sexual intimacy as a form of fulfilling the
needs for belongingness and love, which provides a feeling of comfort. This research also provides
insight into Eloise's journey in achieving the needs of esteem and self-actualization while facing
challenges and opportunities in her career to become a successful fashion designer.
