Abstract :
Ocean's Eight's movie script tells the story of eight people with different backgrounds who form a
group to steal jewelry called the Toussaint. The purpose of this study is to analyse an impulsive
behaviour displayed by the eight female characters in Ocean's Eight's movie script. This research
uses Sigmund Freud's Death Instinct theory to analyse the data. The object of this research is the
impulsive behaviour shown by the characters in Ocean's Eight's film. This research uses a qualitative
method with library research as its approach, and uses data collection from the Ocean's Eight's movie
script as the main source. To support this research, various books, journals and previous related
research were used as secondary sources. The result of this research is the discovery of impulsive
behaviour that refers to the death instinct carried out by the main characters in this film script. From
this research it was found that in addition to the main motive of wanting to get rich resulting from
impulsive behaviour which then lead to the death instinct.
