Abstract :
This research aims to analyze the forms of power relations and resistance to power through
characterization, plot, and setting in the novel Red Rising supported by Michel Foucault's Power
Relations theory. The research approach used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive
qualitative method. The research object used in this research is the novel Red Rising by Pierce
Brown. The data of this research are obtained through a documentation study. The data are analyzed
using analytical descriptive techniques. The results of this study prove that there are; 1) Forms of
power relations through the mind, 2) Forms of power relations through the body, 3) Resistance to
power by Eo's character. The form of power relations through the mind is carried out through
discourse of speech and the epigram of The Gold Clan. The form of power relations through the
body is produced through the discipline of the body against the distribution of space.
