Abstract :
This thesis aims to analysis figurative language in a song album lyric of Post Human Survival Horror album from Bring Me The Horizon by using semantic theory. The theory in semantic studies used to analysis song lyrics is the theory of figurative language. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research is carried out using descriptive qualitative methods because the data I take is not numerical data but descriptions, that's why I use qualitative in this research. The object of this research is the song lyrics in the album Post Human Survival Horror by Bring Me The Horizon written by Oliver Sykes and Jordan Fish. The data of this research is taken from the lyrics in the spotify application. The results of this study are that there are several figurative languages contained in the lyrics of the song Post Human Survival Horror, there are 5 types of figurative language found in the album. Bring Me The Horizon (Post Human Survival Horror) album. There are twenty eight (28) metaphors, five (5) similes, two(2) personifications, and six (6) hyperboles.
