Abstract :
This term paper describes the theme of literary of novel using intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. By intrinsic approach applied with concepts : revenge motivation, death instinct, and tragedy. This term paper is a kind of qualitative research with the literature study in interpretative characteristic combined with the data collecting method in a form of literary text from a novel titled, The Invisible Man by H. G. Wells as a primary source and is supported by some literatures related to the theories, concept and definition as a secondary source.
