Abstract :
This term paper discusses about the theme of the novel as a literary work by using the approaches of intrinsic and extrinsic. Through the intrinsic approaches, the novel is analized by using the concept of characterization. setting, and plot, and the motivation theory for Existence, Relatedness, and Growth as the extrinsic approach. This research is a kind of qualitative research and this documentation research in is interpretative or analytic, with the data collection method from the novel titled in The Third Twin written by Ken Follett as the primer source, and also supported by some documents which are relevant with the theory, concept and definition as the second sources.
