Abstract :
This study aims to determine the difficulties of teachers in teaching English as a foreign language at SMP Negeri 6 Pamona Utara. This type of research is qualitative research. Data were collected through observation and interviews from 2 English teachers. After analyzing the data, the researcher found that the difficulties of teachers in teaching English as a foreign language had several difficulties, from the teacher's low understanding of English, determining the appropriate method of learning, building overall communication in the classroom, low school facilities, and difficulty in accessing the internet. where the school is located in an underdeveloped area.
