Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to produce learning trajectory that can help students in understanding the material of linear equations with one variable in class VII by using balancing tool. The research method used is design research conducted in three stages. The first stage is preliminary design is designing learning activities in the form of hypothetical learning trajectory. The second stage is design experiment which is divided into two stages: pilot experiment and teaching experiment. The third stage is restrospective analysis, at this stage the analysis of the data that has been obtained at the teaching experiment stage. Based on the data obtained and the analysis conducted, obtained some conclusions. First on material of linear equations with one variable, the use of teaching aids with learning using realistic mathematics education in indonesian approach can help understanding student concept. The two learning trajectory produced are in the form of trajectories that help students during the learning process takes place.
