Abstract :
Land evaluation is one of the instruments commonly used in assessing the suitability of land for variousagricultural commodities in an area. The productivityof coffee plants ini Pagaralam City still needs development to support and increaseregional income. The indicators of C-organic and Soil Base Saturation are the focuson this study was to provide information related to soil chemical characteristics,C-organic and Soil base saturation parameters in Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora Sp.) plantations in Planting Village, South Pagaralam District, Pagaralam City, South Sumatra. The research method usedis a detailed level survey method and soils analysis is carried out in the laboratory. The area of the research area is 1:5000. Thedetermination of sampling pointswas carried out using the stratifield grid method. The results showed that according to the actual land suitability at the study site based on the matching method, namely nutrient retention of C-organic and Soil base saturation at the study site, namely in the medium class (S2) or quite suitable. Land suitability for coffee plants can increasethe landsuitability class to S1 (very suitable)by overcoming the limiting factors fornutrient retention (C-organicand Soil base saturation) .
