ABSTRACT
This development research aims to produce valid and practical puppet theater play tools. The research model used in this study is the ADDIE development (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) with modifications at the evaluation stage, namely Tessmer with self-evaluation, expert review, one to one, and small group stages. Data collection techniques using interviews, walkthrough and observation using a checklist. The results showed that the percentage value of validation by the material validator was 88% and the percentage value of validation by the media validator was 88%, obtained an average product validation as a whole with a percentage value of 88% with a very valid category, which means that it is stated that the puppet theater stage game tool is said to be validity that has been reviewed in terms of indicators and items of material and media assessment. The results of the one to one evaluation stage involving three children obtained a percentage of 84% and the small group evaluation stage involving five children produced a percentage of 81%, from the two stages an average of 82.5% was obtained in the very practical category . It can be concluded that the puppet show stage game tool is declared valid and practical for children aged 5-6 years in Palembang.
