Abstract :
This type of research is associative research with a quantitative approach which aims to determine the influence of the teacher's role and workshop facilities on the learning interests of students majoring in mechanical engineering at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang. This research was conducted at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang Campus B in June, even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The population in this study were students majoring in Mechanical Engineering at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang, totaling 51 students. The sample is 51 students with the sampling technique that is total sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the t_count (9.967) ? t_Table(2.01063), so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the teacher's role (X_1) on learning interest (Y) of students majoring in mechanical engineering at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang. The effect of workshop facilities on learning interest was obtained by t_count (4.174) ? t_Table (2.01063), so it can be concluded that there is an influence of workshop facilities (X_2) on learning interest (Y) of students majoring in mechanical engineering at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang. The effect of the role of the teacher and workshop facilities on learning interest was obtained by the value of F_Count (74.570) ? F_Table (3.19), so it can be concluded that there was an influence on the role of the teacher (X_1) and workshop facilities (X_2) together on interest in learning (Y) students majoring in mechanical engineering at SMK Pembangunan YPT Palembang.
