Abstract :
The objective of this research was to describe the process of integrating character education in mathematics learning the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Parigi. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this research are a mathematics teacher of the eleventh of science grade and a mathematics teacher of the eleventh of social grade. Data collection was taken using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was done on the recording of data retrieval of the eleventh of science grade and the eleventh of social grade which was selected and supported by interview data with a mathematics teacher of the eleventh of science grade and a mathematics teacher of the eleventh of social grade. The results of this research indicate that the value of characters that are integrated in mathematics learning the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Parigi is the value of honest, disciplined, creative, curiosity, independence, and responsibility. The process of integrating character education conducted by teachers: (1) The value of honest, teachers warn students not to cheat. (2) The value of discipline, teachers entering the classroom and leaving the class on time, the teacher checks the attendance of the students, the teacher asks the students to collect the task, and the teacher forbid the students to be noisy in following the lesson. (3) the value of creative, the teacher assigns group tasks related to daily life. (4) The value of curiosity, the teacher provides the opportunity for students to ask about what has not been understood. (5) The value of elf-assessed, the teacher asks the students to do the rehearsal individually. (6) The value of responsibility, the teacher asks the students to discuss with a group friend about the problem given and the teacher asks the students to do the exercises given.
