Abstract :
Along with the many uses and needs of chromite which have recently been increasing, and to meet these needs, a research was conducted in Wosu Village, precisely in the mining business permit area of PT.X (WIUP PT.X) which is one of the areas that has potential resources. natural among them is the mineral chromite. The method used is the direct exploration geological method in the form of surface and subsurface geological mapping. Subsurface mapping is done using a drill. In this case, the results obtained are field data in the form of rock samples which will then be analyzed to see how the distribution and reserves of chromite minerals in the study area. The results of the calculation of reserves found the amount of reserves of 14.294 tons, The amount of reserves is divided into two grades, namely 1st grade (100% Cr2O3) of 3.829 tons and 2nd grade (40% Cr2O3) of 9.573 tons. The potential contained in the research location is quite economical so it needs to be considered and followed up by PT.X to carry out mining. Keywords: Exploration Geology, Reserves, Chromite.
