Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to help reading comprehension in seventh grade at SMPIT Insan Permata Bojonegoro in the form of a reading material supplementary book. The types of texts developed were descriptive, narrative and conversational texts for semester one. There were several problems encountered while learning English. Therefore, this product is very necessary for students in reading comprehension. The design used in this research is research and development (R&D). This research was conducted using a 4D model which includes four steps, namely Define, Design, Develop and disseminate Additional books on reading materials were validated by two experts. The two experts are teachers at SMPIT Insan Permata Bojonegoro. This supplementary book is categorized by practical and valid criteria. This means, the developed module is easy to use, useful, and efficient. Teachers and students can use supplements as supporting teaching materials.
