Abstract :
Speaking is an important skill that students must master in learning English. However, speaking is one of the most difficult skills for students to master. Therefore, in teaching speaking teachers need to consider effective and efficient strategies in learning. Teachers can apply some appropriate methods, techniques, or programs in learning speaking. In this study, researchers will examine the life miniature program implemented at MI Mansyaul Huda kalitidu bojonegoro where the program is part of the international class program (ICP) curriculum which aims to improve students' English language skills. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using observation, interviews, and documentation as instruments to collect data. The first finding in this study is the process of implementing the life miniature program which explains the preparation to the implementation of the program. In the implementation of the life miniature program, students are divided into 5 groups that will play the role of broadcaster, bank officer, canteen officer, police student, and English guide student. During the process of implementing the life miniature program, the obstacles that students often encounter are the lack of students' English vocabulary and difficulty in pronunciation. To overcome these obstacles some students rely on asking the teacher and some others choose to always carry a small dictionary to play the role optimally. To help students overcome these obstacles, teachers schedule special pronunciation classes and encourage students to increase their literacy so that students are moved to memorize more vocabulary.
