Abstract :
Cooperative learning model is a learning model that requires cooperation where students learn in small groups, help each other to understand a lesson. Cooperative learning model in this research applied to biodiversity conservation material. The main problem in this research is whether the application of cooperative learning model of Team Assisted Individualization approach is effective on the result of VII students' study in SMP Negeri 20 Kupang Academic Year 2016/2017. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of cooperative learning model through Team Assisted Individualization approach to class VII student learning outcomes on the subject matter of Biodiversity Conservation at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang Academic Year 2016/2017. Subjects in this study are students of class VII of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang. The type of research used is pre experimental research, with one-group pretest posttest design research design. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, and test. The results were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that the students' learning mastery shows the average completeness perindividu 85.75 and 95% classically. The average proportion of the indicator is 0.79, and the sensitivity of the item is 0.34 ?0.30 (sensitive) so it has an effect in learning. The reliability of the instrument activity is 95.05 (reliable), the average score of the teacher's ability to manage the learning 3.71 (very good) and the reliability of the instrument is 94.39 (reliable). From the results of the above research can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization approach is effective on the results of students learning class VII on the subject matter of biodiversity conservation in SMP Negeri 20 Kupang Academic Year 2016/2017.
