Abstract :
The development of science and technology of architecture today, floating building is a unique innovation in the use of water as a residential area. Floating building in Indonesia has been long applied in certain areas such as Kalimantan, Aceh, Irian Jaya and several regions in Indonesia. For countries which has a small area, floating building is one of the problem solving to that problem. Along with the times, floating buildings are often used as a dwelling place that has a different sensation from rekreasion and another shelter. The design of a restorant floating in batu nona, kupang reservoir is a design that focuses on the design of the building on the water, in the form of a restorant floating in. The method used in this design is a comparative method, is comparing floating buildings that already exist and then applied to the building restorant of the in. To assist in determining design parameters, performed a literature study to determine the constituent components whatever is on floating structures (small scale).
