Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of self-concept and mathematical anxiety on mathematics learning achievement of X IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Kupang in the academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is quantitative research using regression analysis. The population in this study were all students of X IPS class of SMAN 1 Kupang with a sample of 103 students taken randomly using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and mathematics learning achievement tests. Data analysis is done using the SPSS 22.0 for Windows program. Multiple linear regression equations from the results of the study are Y = 3,473 + 0,625X1 + 0,516X2. partial test results for self-concept obtained t_count = 3,186> 1,983 = t table or significant value on self-concept = 0,002 <-1.998 = ttable or significant value = 0.012 3,09 = Ftable then H0 was rejected. Thus self-concept and mathematical anxiety significantly influence the mathematics learning achievement of the subject matter of the composition and inverse functions in the X IPS class of SMAN 1 Kupang in the academic year 2017/2018 with a contribution of 0.217 or equal to 21.7%.
